Hello, and welcome to a spring blog hop today! Here in Minnesota, the highs have been below zero for a few weeks now (and that doesn’t include windchill)! So, I’m excited to be participating in a SPRING blog hop today to feel a little bit warmer!
The card I’m sharing today uses the Flowering Cactus Product Medley, which can be found in the first few pages of the January-June 2021 Mini Catalog. I absolutely love this product medley, and how simple it is to create with – you also get an amazing set of supplies including stamps, dies, paper, ribbon, and felt flowers!
I love the layout of this card, which I actually got from a sketch challenge I participated in recently! I focused on purples for this card, because my purples don’t get used too often and they are the perfect spring color! The DSP under the Basic White strip is from the product medley, and those cute felt flowers are too!
A few tips with this set: for the cactus, I stamped it in Pear Pizzazz ink and then used a Sponge Dauber to add some Old Olive ink on the left-hand side. Also, when adhering the felt flowers, I used our multipurpose liquid glue, as I find that it holds the best. Be sure to use a lot of glue since the felt will absorb it. Then, make sure to hold it down on the project for a little bit, to make sure it can secure a proper hold.
