Goodies from My Stampin' Up! OnTour Event

Last week, I participated in the Minneapolis, MN OnTour event hosted by Stampin' Up! This was a demonstrator only event, that had around 240 participants! While we met virtually for a few hours, it was so fun to meet other Stampin' Up! Demonstrators!

As part of OnTour, we were asked to make a card sample using the Etched in Nature stamp set that Stampin' Up! sent to us. I also participated in a card swap with some team members and other demos. It was os fun, and I'm excited to share those items with you today!

Here's the sample card I made with the Etched in Nature stamp set:

BLOG HOP: Sketch Challenge with the NEW Party Puffins Stamps

Welcome to the Crafty Challenge blog hop! Whether you came here from another blog or directly, I am so happy to have you here! For the blog hop today, we used a Sketch to inspire our creations. I combined that sketch with the ADORABLE, upcoming Party Puffins stamp set (available to customers beginning May 4)!

Craft Roulette Challenges 57 and 58

Happy Saturday! Last week, I was introduced to a fun crafting game show called Craft Roulette. The host, Mary Gunn, spins a wheel and she and a guest crafter make a card using the parameters selected - live on video. All of us home viewers are encouraged to play along and make cards, too!

Here's my card for Challenge #57:

Isn't it cute?! The parameters for Challenge 57 were:
  • PROJECT: Pick-a-Sketch (the cohost, Jessica Taylor, picked a nice sketch for us!)
  • COLORS: Pastels
  • ELEMENTS: Rainbows
  • RANDOM: Stencil

You could have a lot of fun with these parameters to make a beautiful card! To make my card, I used Basic White and Balmy Blue cardstock for the base and layers. I then die cut a Poppy Parade die from Stitched So Sweetly die set and sponged the Poppy Parade with white ink to dull down the color. With the Layering Circle Dies, I cut out circles in Pale Papaya, So Saffron, Soft Sea Foam, and Fresh Freesia cardstocks. The clouds stencil is from the March 2021 Paper Pumpkin kit. Then, I heat embossed "Miss You" on Basic Black cardstock. Below is a list of all the products I used that are currently available (two cardstock colors are live on May 4).

Here's my card for Challenge #58:

The parameters for Challenge #58 are:
  • PROJECT: Fancy Fold (anything that doesn't open like a typical card)
  • COLORS: Green + 3 (neutrals don't count unless you want them to)
  • ELEMENT(S): Outdoors
  • RANDOM: Swink (swiping ink)

Submissions for Challenge #58 are still being accepted through the end of the day on Sunday, April 25 at 11:59p Central time. Click here to watch the Challenge 58 YouTube video and play along!

For this card, I did a fun fold, and did the "swinking" with a Cajun Craze ink spot (but you can get a similar effect with the full size stamp pad). I CASEd the design directly from page 58 of the Jan-Jun 2021 Mini Catalog. Below, you can see the list of products needed to recreate this card!

Introducing the 2021-2023 In Colors from Stampin' Up!

Yesterday, I shared a card idea with the Retiring In Colors, so today I thought I'd share the NEW In Colors! These colors are coming on May 4th, and are SO beautiful! I used the upcoming Hand Penned bundle to create these 5 cards - all different from one another - showing off these fun new colors!

Happy Monday! For this week's video tutorial, I am featuring tips and tricks with Stampin' Blends, as requested by my customer Alicia. Stampin' Blends are a lot of fun to play around with, but can definitely be intimidating if you've never used them before. Today, I'm hoping to show you how easy they are to use so you feel confident in coloring your images!

BLOG HOP: Sketch Challenge using Whiskey Business from Stampin' Up!

Happy Saturday! Today I'm participating in the Casually Crafting blog hop, which features card ideas for casual crafters! Today, we're featuring a Sketch challenge. A Sketch is basically an idea which you then interpret into your own design! Here's the card I'm sharing today:
